Why are we 'still' here?

Our sojourn has ended.

Home Sweet Home!
As of 7th December 2014, the sojourn abroad has ended. However, the long and challenging journey to pave a route for changes has just begun. From now on, we unquestionably need to work together; we require your support, commitment and understanding to truly make a difference.

Our  mission still  remains.

In retrospect, this is our story. After undergoing two weeks of English Teachers Training Programme specifically designed for TVET educators on the island of Penang, twenty out of two hundred educators were shortlisted to proceed onto the next stage. We are the twenty chosen individuals from the 'TVET 3' (Malaysian Ministry of Education) institutions, have spend two weeks in London as part of our second phase training.  We had a challenging mission to complete; as we needed to absorb as much as possible, within a short period of time, all pertinent information, knowledge and mode of practices seen during our daily classes, observations and industrial visits arranged by the Westminster Kingsway College, London. This effort, however, was necessary as our final objective was to return to Malaysia as Master Trainers. As Master Trainers, we would have to plan and execute creative and innovative programmes to make a difference to our current practices.

Wish us luck in our ongoing mission!

This blog was created to document our findings, experiences and academic interactions with tutors, peers, industry partners and learning communities that make up the intricate fabric of the English Language Education for TVET. Such documentation is important as it will later act as a digital repository for any future development proposed by the Master Trainers. The blog will also act as a support channel from all of us who are truly passionate about the teaching and learning of English Language in our institutions.
